By creating an account or using finalyear.net (the "Service"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Eligibility

Final Year is intended for students, tutors, and academic users aged 16 and above. By signing up you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you are entitled to use the Service.

3. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials safe and for all activity that takes place under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect any unauthorised use.

4. Acceptable use

When using Final Year you agree not to:

• Submit AI-generated content as your own without proper review and citation where required by your institution.
• Upload content that is unlawful, defamatory, infringing, or harmful.
• Attempt to bypass security measures, scrape the platform, or abuse the AI features.
• Resell, redistribute, or share your account access with others.

5. Academic integrity

Final Year is a research and writing assistant. You remain responsible for the originality and accuracy of any work you submit to your school. Always follow your institution's policies on the use of AI tools and citation.

6. Payments and refunds

Some features require payment. Prices are shown at checkout. Once a project has been generated and delivered, payments are generally non-refundable except where required by law or where we have failed to deliver the purchased service. Contact support if you believe you are entitled to a refund.

7. Intellectual property

The Final Year brand, design, and software are owned by us. The content you create using the platform belongs to you, but you grant us a limited licence to host, store, and display it so we can provide the Service to you.

8. Service availability

We work hard to keep the Service running smoothly but we cannot guarantee it will always be available, error-free, or uninterrupted. We may update, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.

9. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms or use the Service in a way that harms other users or our infrastructure. You can close your account at any time from your dashboard settings.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Final Year is provided "as is". We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including academic outcomes, lost data, or lost profits arising from your use of the Service.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will always be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted means you accept the new Terms.
