About this project
This study assesses the effectiveness of telehealth nursing interventions — phone follow-ups, SMS reminders and video consultations — on treatment adherence and patient outcomes in rural communities where access to clinics is limited. It compares adherence rates between patients receiving telehealth follow-up and those on standard care, and explores nurses' readiness to deliver care remotely.
Methodology
Quasi-experimental survey
Chapters 1–5 outline
Chapter 1
Introduction: background to telehealth nursing in rural care, statement of the problem (rural patients default on follow-up care because clinics are far and understaffed), aim and objectives, research questions, scope, significance of the study, and definition of terms.
Chapter 2
Literature Review: theoretical framework, review of related works on telehealth nursing in rural care, gaps in existing studies, and a summary positioning this project.
Chapter 3
Methodology / System Analysis and Design: quasi-experimental design; structured questionnaires; adherence scoring. Includes data collection method, system requirements, use-case and architecture diagrams (or population, sample size, and instrument).
Chapter 4
Implementation and Results: comparison of adherence and patient satisfaction between telehealth and control groups. Presentation of findings, testing, evaluation, and discussion of results.
Chapter 5
Summary, Conclusion and Recommendations: key findings, contribution to knowledge, limitations, and recommendations for further research.
