Abstract

This sociological study examines whether entrepreneurship education reduces youth unemployment by moving graduates into self-employment. It surveys graduates who took entrepreneurship courses, comparing their employment status, business survival rates and income with those who did not, and explores the structural barriers — capital, markets, infrastructure — that training alone cannot fix. The study is organised into five chapters covering the introduction, review of related literature, research methodology, data presentation and analysis, and the summary, conclusion and recommendations.

1.4 Scope of the Study

Introduction: background to entrepreneurship education and unemployment, statement of the problem (governments invest in entrepreneurship programmes with little follow-up evidence of real job creation), aim and objectives, research questions, scope, significance of the study, and definition of terms.
